Szent István Bazilika
St. Stephen's Basilica is a neoclassical cathedral situated in central Budapest, Hungary. Named after King Stephen, the first king of Hungary, it stands as one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.
The basilica is celebrated for its impressive architecture, with a dome that reaches 96 meters (315 feet) in height. Inside, visitors can admire the intricate frescoes, marble columns, and vibrant stained glass windows.
A notable feature of the basilica is the Holy Right Hand, a revered relic believed to be the mummified right hand of King Stephen. It is displayed in a chapel and attracts pilgrims from around the world.
Visitors can also ascend to the top of the dome for sweeping views of Budapest. The observation deck offers panoramic sights of the city, including the Hungarian Parliament Building and the Danube River.
